The port of Tangier-Med is located around 50 km north-east of the Moroccan city of Tangier near the Spanish exclave of Ceuta. Since its opening in 2007, it has developed into one of the most important maritime transport hubs between Europe and Africa and is strategically located on the most important maritime trade routes between Europe, Asia, Africa and America. This makes it not only an important commercial and industrial center, but also a central ferry port with regular connections to European countries such as Spain, France and Italy.
