Koh Phi Phi
Resort
Koh Phi Phi ferry port lies in Thailand. From here you can reach 6 destinations, among them Phuket, Phuket Airport and Krabi. Together the connections add up to as many as 28 departures a day. Crossings take between 45 minutes and 4 hours. The port is served by Andaman Wave Master.
Getting there and the terminal
Laemtong Beach lies on the north-east coast of Koh Phi Phi Don, around four kilometres north of the main village of Tonsai. There is no fixed ferry berth here: speedboats run straight onto the beach, while larger ferries hand their passengers over to a longtail or speedboat that covers the last leg. Which applies depends on the operator you book; on tickets from Phuket or Krabi the transfer is usually already part of the booking. The big resorts of the north-east coast sit along the beach, and their jetties are used for the transfer. There are no cars on the island: you reach Tonsai on foot along the coastal path or by boat. Bring cash for your arrival, because a fee is charged on Koh Phi Phi towards the upkeep of the landing stages.
