FRS Iberia is a Spanish ferry company based in Tarifa, founded in 2000 as a joint venture between the German company Förde Reederei Seetouristik (FRS) and the Moroccan company Comarit. In July 2024 the company was acquired by the Danish DFDS Group and now operates under the name DFDS Seaways Mediterranean.

FRS Iberia runs high-speed ferries across the Strait of Gibraltar, connecting Spain with Morocco. The main routes are Algeciras–Tangier Med, Tarifa–Tangier City and Algeciras–Ceuta. The crossing from Tarifa to Tangier takes just 35 minutes, making it the shortest connection between Europe and Africa.

The fleet consists of modern high-speed catamarans and conventional ferries carrying both passengers and vehicles. The ships are equipped with air conditioning, bars, cafeterias and duty-free shops. The Algeciras–Ceuta route is particularly important for commuter traffic to the Spanish exclave in North Africa.

As part of the DFDS Group, the company now benefits from an expanded European network. FRS Iberia carries several million passengers a year and is one of the leading ferry operators in the western Mediterranean. Its strategic position on the Strait of Gibraltar makes its routes essential for both tourists and commercial traffic.
