Corsica Ferries - Sardinia Ferries is a French-Italian ferry company founded in 1967 by the Corsican Pascal Lota under the name Corsica Line. The company is the leading ferry operator in the western Mediterranean, carrying more than 2.8 million passengers a year.
Corsica Ferries operates connections from France and Italy to Corsica, Sardinia and Elba, with up to 13 daily crossings on 59 routes. The main departure ports are Livorno, Savona, Nice and Toulon. On Corsica it calls at Ajaccio, Bastia and Porto-Vecchio, and on Sardinia at Golfo Aranci and Porto Torres.
The fleet comprises 14 ships of various classes, including Mega Express, Corsica Express and cruise ferries. The first ship, the Corsica Express of 1967, had space for 600 passengers and 60 vehicles. In 1982, the Sardinia Nova introduced the company's distinctive yellow livery on the Livorno-Olbia route. The most recent additions are the Pascal Lota (2017), Mega Regina (2021) and Mega Victoria (2023).
In 1981, Corsica Ferries took over the Italian company TTE, giving rise to the Sardinia Ferries brand. In 2004, the company carried the most passengers to Corsica of any ferry operator for the first time. On board, restaurants, bars, swimming pools and children's play areas are available. Cars, motorhomes and motorcycles can be brought along.
