Baleària Caribbean is a high-speed ferry service connecting the islands of Bimini and Grand Bahama with Port Everglades in Florida. The company was founded in 2012 by the Spanish shipping company Baleària and began sailing to Bimini in 2018.
Baleària Caribbean connects Fort Lauderdale with Bimini in around 2 hours, and with Freeport on Grand Bahama in around 3 hours 46 minutes. The terminal in Fort Lauderdale is at 2021 Eller Drive, Terminal 21, while on Bimini the dock is at Fisherman's Village in Bimini Bay, North Bimini. No vehicle ferry service is currently offered.
Onboard, two seating classes are available: Economy seats, with padded standard seating, reclining seats and USB charging points at every seat, and Economy Premium seats, with spacious reclining seats, a soft drink and snack per leg, USB ports and priority boarding at the Port Everglades terminal.
The ferries offer a range of amenities, from light snacks to full meals, drinks, comfortable seating and Wi-Fi. Accessible facilities are available for passengers with special needs, and pet accommodation may be available. Bookings can be made via the website or by phone on +1 (866) 699-6988.
