Bintan Resort Ferries (BRF) began operations in 1994 at the World Trade Centre Singapore, now known as HarbourFront. In August 1995 the company moved to the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal and has run regular ferry services between Singapore and Bintan Resorts ever since.
Bintan Resort Ferries connects the Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (TMFT) in Singapore with the Bandar Bentan Telani (BBT) Ferry Terminal in Bintan Resorts daily. The high-speed catamaran crossing takes around 60 minutes, with total journey time, including boarding and disembarking, around 1 hour 10 minutes. The flexible schedule offers 60 sailings a week.
The fleet consists of four ships: the 270-seat Aria Bupala, the 286-seat Indera Bupala, and the more modern 42-metre Wani Seri Beni and Wan Sendari, each with capacity for up to 300 passengers. For a premium service, Emerald Class is available, offering dedicated check-in, seat allocation, access to the Emerald Lounge and priority baggage handling.
A standard adult return fare costs around SGD 92, while peak fares on blackout dates reach around SGD 102. International passports valid for at least six months are required, as Bintan, being an Indonesian international port, requires immigration clearance. Bintan is one hour behind Singapore. Check-in should be completed at least 1.5 hours before departure.
