Every route operated by Brittany Ferries at a glance, with current crossing times, timetables and ticket prices.
Brittany Ferries is a French shipping company founded in 1972 by Breton farmer Alexis Gourvennec to export cauliflower and artichokes to Britain. Scheduled ferry services began on 2 January 1973 between Roscoff in Brittany and Plymouth in south-west England.
Brittany Ferries connects four countries in Western Europe: Britain, France, Ireland and Spain. From British ports such as Portsmouth, Plymouth and Poole, routes run to Caen, Cherbourg, Le Havre, St Malo and Roscoff in France. To Spain, ferries sail from Plymouth and Portsmouth to Santander and Bilbao, with crossings of 19 to 29 hours. The Roscoff-Cork and Cherbourg-Rosslare routes link France with Ireland. Routes to Santander and Cork were first introduced in 1981.
The fleet comprises 11 modern cruise ferries. The Bretagne has the highest capacity, with 1,940 passengers. The Santoña, built in 2021, is the newest ship, with state-of-the-art facilities. The Galicia, from 2019, features a tapas restaurant. New LNG-powered and hybrid-electric ships such as Salamanca, Santoña and Saint-Malo cut emissions.
On board there are restaurants, cafés, bars, lounges and duty-free shops. The Armorique has two cinemas and a reading lounge. Vehicles can be carried on all routes. Pets can travel in dedicated cabins, kennels or in the passenger's own vehicle. The Barfleur carries 75 lorries and is built for freight traffic.
