The Caremar hydrofoil service is the high-speed branch of Italian ferry operator Caremar (Campania Regionale Marittima), founded in Naples in 1975. The service offers fast connections to the beautiful islands in the Gulf of Naples.

Caremar's hydrofoils and catamarans connect Naples, Capri, Ischia and Procida with much shorter crossing times than the conventional ferries. The hydrofoils depart from Naples' Molo Beverello, while the regular ferries leave from Calata Porta di Massa, about 200 metres away. The fast connections reach Procida in 30-40 minutes, compared with 40 minutes to 1 hour on the regular ferry.

The fleet includes the hydrofoil Aldebaran, the catamaran Achernar and the fast hydrofoil Isola di San Pietro. Between the ferries and hydrofoils there are roughly hourly departures, starting early in the morning around 6:30am, with the last ferry to Naples at 8:15pm.

Each vessel is operated by an experienced crew and offers air conditioning as well as cafeterias and snack bars. The larger ferries Adeona, Driade, Fauno and Naiade also offer onboard entertainment and large seating areas. The Caremar fleet's total capacity is about 10,900 tonnes, carrying more than 4,800 passengers and around 300 vehicles a day.
