Caribbean Sprinter is Belize's premier ferry service, offering several daily sailings between Belize City, Caye Caulker and San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye. The company claims to save about an hour on a round trip from Belize City to San Pedro compared with other operators.
Caribbean Sprinter runs the same schedule seven days a week, with daily departures between Belize City, Caye Caulker and San Pedro. From Belize City there are departures at 8:00am, 10:30am, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:30pm and 5:40pm. From San Pedro, boats leave at 6:00am, 7:00am, 8:00am, 10:00am, 1:00pm and 4:00pm. The trip between San Pedro and Caye Caulker takes about 30-45 minutes, while from Belize City it takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
The vessels carry 60-110 passengers and are fitted with twin or triple engines and V-shaped hulls for a smooth ride. One-way tickets typically cost between 20 and 25 US dollars, with reduced return fares. A shuttle service from the international airport to the Sprinter terminal is available for 15 USD per person.
Caribbean Sprinter also offers customised dock-to-dock trips and day excursions to outlying islands such as Goff's Caye for groups. There is also a regular schedule to Caye Chapel for approved operators. A bonus programme lets travellers earn points on every trip. Pets are welcome on board, with dog life jackets and soft muzzles available.
