Colonia Express is a ferry company connecting Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay) with a modern fleet of high-speed catamarans. The company also offers an exclusive bus service to Montevideo, Punta del Este and other destinations in Uruguay.

Colonia Express's Buenos Aires-Colonia del Sacramento ferry crossing takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, with around 5 daily and 34 weekly sailings. The distance is 27 nautical miles (about 50 km) across the Río de la Plata. The Buenos Aires terminal is located at Av. Elvira Rawson de Dellepiane 155, Puerto Madero Sur, with Wi-Fi, a duty-free shop, its own parking and a cafeteria.

In January the catamaran Colonia Express II entered service following a comprehensive refit. The Uruguayan company Lumary, which trades under the name Colonia Express, strengthened its position in the competitive market with the addition. Its main rival is Buquebus, which also covers the route in about 1 hour 15 minutes.

Round-trip prices are around 54 US dollars for adults. Passengers can bring up to 30 kg of luggage free of charge, comprising one personal item and one piece of hand luggage. On board there is a convenience store, gift shop, takeaway restaurant and Wi-Fi. Pets are allowed on Colonia Express ferries.
