Comino Ferries is a Maltese cooperative founded in 1990. Behind the name is not a single ferry operator but an association of boat operators pooling their sailings under a shared brand.
The service area is tightly confined: it runs from the northern tip of Malta to the small neighbouring island of Comino, whose Blue Lagoon is the destination for almost all visitors. Departure points are Ċirkewwa and Marfa, both on the same stretch of coast near the Gozo terminal.
The boats used are fast open and semi-covered passenger vessels with no vehicle deck, running at a high frequency in summer. The cooperative states that all boats are insured and that captains and crews hold commercial licences from Transport Malta.
