Ferry Isla De Lobos is a Spanish ferry operator offering crossings from Corralejo on Fuerteventura to the small island of Lobos. The company is one of the main providers of transport to the protected nature reserve north-east of Fuerteventura.
The ferry connects the port of Corralejo with the Isla de Lobos, a small islet known for its nature reserve and rare bird species. The crossing takes only about 15 minutes, with up to 4 daily departures. The first ferry leaves Corralejo at around 09:45, the last at 15:30.
The island's name comes from the monk seals (Spanish: lobos marinos - sea wolves) that once lived there. The island is a popular destination for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Walking around the island takes about 3 hours. Pets and vehicles are not permitted on the ferries.
Importantly, to protect the nature reserve, visitor numbers are limited to 400 people a day, split into two shifts of 200 each. A free permit is required and can be booked together with the ticket via the website. Tickets cost about 18 euros per person for the return trip. Online booking is recommended, especially in summer - on average 8 days in advance.
