Gili Getaway is an established Indonesian speedboat operator with more than 10,000 crossings completed and a spotless safety record with no passenger incidents. The company is fully covered by a maritime insurance policy and meets both Indonesian and international safety standards.
Gili Getaway operates from Serangan Harbour on Bali, serving the Gili Islands, North Lombok (Bangsal Harbour), Nusa Penida and Gili Gede (South Lombok). Its speedboats are fitted with four powerful 250 hp engines and are at least 45 minutes faster than the competition, allowing for holiday-friendly pick-up times.
The boats are checked for safety and maintenance daily before departure. All crew members are certified by the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation. Travellers on Nusa Penida have direct connections to the Gili Islands, with daily departures at 11:30 am to Gili Gede (just one hour's crossing).
On board, passengers enjoy comfortable seating, chilled towels, refreshments and access to a sun deck with free sun cream. The restaurant at the terminal serves food before departure. Free transfers are provided in air-conditioned vehicles. In bad weather, the authorities can cancel all speedboat services — in that case, Gili Getaway refunds all affected tickets in full.
