Gozo Highspeed
Gozo Highspeed was formed in summer 2023 from a partnership between Gozo Fast Ferry and Virtu Ferries Gozo. The original fast ferry service was launched in 2021 and has been run by Virtu Ferries under the new name Gozo Highspeed since July 2023.
Gozo Highspeed offers a foot-passenger-only service between the Lascaris Wharf Terminal in Valletta's Grand Harbour and Mġarr on Gozo. The direct catamaran crossing takes 45 minutes, making it the fastest connection between the Maltese islands. There are around 10 departures a day in each direction.
On weekdays, the first catamaran leaves Mġarr at 5:45, arriving in Valletta at 6:30, with the last sailing at 23:45. From Valletta, the first service departs at 6:45, with the last sailing at 00:45. Children aged 4 to 10 travel at a reduced fare. The current prices for your travel date are shown in the booking window.
On board, passengers enjoy comfortable seating, Wi-Fi, refreshments and a modern, air-conditioned environment. Pets can travel free of charge. The ships feature the latest green technology and meet all current environmental regulations. Tickets can be booked online, at the terminal, through agents or via the smartphone app — advance booking is recommended during peak times.
