Great Bay Express

Great Bay Express Ferry Service was founded by Bobby Velasquez, a local sailor with many years of experience in the yachting and shipping industry. His aim was to offer locals and tourists fast, reliable and safe transport between the Caribbean islands.

The company offers daily connections between Sint Maarten and St. Barths, with a crossing time of just 45 minutes. In 2019 the service was extended to the island of Saba. The ferries run between the Dutch Caribbean and the French Antilles, departing from Bobby's Marina in Philipsburg, Sint Maarten. There are several daily departures to Gustavia on St. Barths: 7:15 am, 9:30 am and 5:30 pm (SXM–SBH).

The fleet consists of several high-speed vessels. The "Big B" is the newest and largest ship, with a capacity of 230 passengers, about 39 metres long and 8 metres wide. The "Pride of St. Barth" is a catamaran for 99 passengers, about 20 metres long. All vessels have flat-screen TVs, air conditioning, toilets and spacious, comfortable seating.
