Ionian Seaways

Ionian Seaways, together with sister company Ionian Cruises, has run daily connections from the Greek island of Corfu to the Albanian town of Saranda since 1979. The company specialises in crossings of the Ionian Sea.

In high season, the timetable offers more than 22 daily crossings between Saranda and Corfu, 11 of them with Ionian Seaways and 11 with Finikas Lines. The fastest hydrofoil crossing takes just 30 minutes, while slower passenger ferries need 1.5 to 2 hours. Travellers can choose from morning, afternoon and evening departures. The schedule is seasonal, with fewer crossings during the winter months.

The fleet comprises three different vessel types: 2 Flying Dolphins (high-speed craft), 1 passenger ship and 2 car ferries. Vessels include F/D SANTA, F/D SANTA III and M/V IONIAN SUN. Besides the main Corfu-Saranda route, Ionian Seaways also runs a connection between Corfu and Himarë on the Albanian Riviera.

Passengers should note that Corfu is one hour behind Albania and all timetables are given in local time. Luggage up to 25 kg travels free, and pets are allowed on board under certain conditions. The company also offers organised tours.
