Líneas Romero has been a family-run ferry company in the Canary Islands since 1930. Jorge M. Toledo originally founded it as the first mail-boat service between La Graciosa and Lanzarote - starting out with nothing more than a simple rowing boat. Today the company is run by siblings Luis, Juan Jorge, Federico and Rosa Romero.
Líneas Marítimas Romero carries passengers year-round between the Canary Islands of Lanzarote, Fuerteventura and La Graciosa. For more than 40 years it has run the only regular passenger ferry service between Lanzarote (Órzola port) and La Graciosa (Caleta del Sebo port), with a crossing time of about 25 minutes and several daily departures.
Daily ferries also run between Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, connecting the ports of Corralejo and Playa Blanca 4 to 7 times a day depending on the season. There is also a water-bus service between Puerto Calero and Puerto del Carmen on Lanzarote. Juan Romero took over management in 1970 and expanded the service to include passenger transport.
The Romero siblings grew up on La Graciosa and have a deep love for the island, its unspoilt landscape and the smell of the sea. That's why they strictly observe environmental regulations and promote sustainable tourism to protect the island's natural resources.
