Lomprayah High Speed Ferries Co., Ltd. was founded in 1999 and was Thailand's first and only fast ferry operator to offer speedy, stylish service. The company is Thailand's leading high-speed ferry service, connecting Bangkok, Chumphon, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao with fast, safe and comfortable catamaran ferries.

The fleet consists of 7 high-speed catamarans: Pralarn, Namuang, Maenam, Koh Prab, Thongsala, Maehaad and Thapdaorai, with capacities ranging from 140 to 461 passengers. Lomprayah runs 77 daily and 527 weekly departures across 90 ferry routes. Popular routes include Koh Samui (Mae Nam Pier) to Koh Tao (Mae Haad Pier) in 1 hour 37 minutes, and to Koh Phangan (Thong Sala Pier) in 28 minutes.

From Surat Thani there are four daily departures to Koh Samui between 09:00 and 16:00, with the combined bus-ferry journey taking just two hours. Total travel time from Bangkok to Koh Phangan is 10-14 hours, and to Koh Tao 9-12 hours. From Thung Makham Noi Pier near Chumphon there are 2 daily departures to Koh Tao.

All 7 Lomprayah catamarans have air-conditioned indoor cabins and outdoor seating. The 3 largest ships have a large outdoor seating area on the roof deck with superb views. There are toilets on board, but no Wi-Fi. E-tickets are accepted. Tickets to Koh Tao cost 500-1,000 baht, with an upgrade to the AC cabin for +100 baht.
