Mar de Ons, in full Naviera Mar de Ons, is a Spanish ferry company from Galicia in the north-west of the country. Its operating area is the Rías Baixas, the broad coastal inlets around Vigo and Pontevedra.
Destinations include the Cíes Islands, the island of Ons and the smaller islets of Tambo and San Simón, alongside the regular line between Vigo and Cangas, which functions less as an excursion than as local transport across the bay. The programme is rounded out with themed cruises on the ría, including mussel-tasting trips and night sailings.
A distinctive feature of the area is its nature-conservation rules. To visit the Cíes Islands and the island of Ons during Holy Week and between 15 May and 15 September, you need a permit from the Xunta de Galicia. It can be applied for up to 90 days in advance, covers a maximum of ten places per application, and can be cancelled up to 15 days before the visit.
