Namhae Gosok Ferry was founded in 1955 and is one of South Korea's leading ferry operators for connections to Jeju Island. Together with Hanil Express, the company runs key routes between the South Korean mainland and the popular holiday island.
Its routes run from Nokdong (Goheung), Yeosu and Wando to Jeju Island. The crossing from Nokdong to Jeju takes about 3 hours 30 minutes, departing daily at 09:00 and arriving at 12:30. From Jeju to Goheung, ferries depart at 16:30 and arrive at 20:00. There are about 6 weekly departures, with no service on the first, third and fifth Sunday of the month.
The fleet comprises six ferries, all offering a good range of accommodation including private twin cabins and shared single cabins, plus large indoor decks with plenty of seating.
Ticket prices range from $48 to $190, depending on the chosen accommodation. A passport or ID card is required for booking. Online reservations can be made via the Namhae Gosok website (Korean only) or through Direct Ferries (multilingual).
