Naviera Nabia operates under the name Piratas de Nabia and, according to its own account, has been running passenger sea transport since 1998. It is based at the Estación Marítima in Vigo, in Spanish Galicia. The company belongs to Grupo Acuña, a tourism group from the Rías Baixas.
Its operating area lies off the Galician Atlantic coast. Destinations served include the Cíes Islands, the island of Ons, San Simón in the Ría de Vigo, and Sálvora. There is also the regular line between Moaña and Vigo, which serves everyday commuter traffic across the bay.
Alongside its island connections, Nabia also runs themed tours on the ría, for example along the mussel and squid grounds or as a seasonal round trip. The company is thus less a classic car ferry operator than a provider of passenger and excursion boat services within a tightly defined area.
