Øresundslinjen (Swedish: Öresundslinjen) is a ferry company running the route between Helsingborg in Sweden and Helsingør in Denmark. Until 2018 the company was called HH-Ferries Group and traded under the Scandlines name, then ForSea Ferries (2018-2023). In September 2023, following its takeover by Molslinjen, it was renamed Øresundslinjen.
The Helsingør-Helsingborg ferry route crosses the narrowest part of the Øresund - the 4-kilometre (2-nautical-mile) strait - in around 20 minutes. Given the short distance of under 3 nautical miles, it is one of the busiest international car ferry routes in the world. The ferries run around the clock, with departures every 15 minutes (Mon-Fri) or every 20 minutes (weekends).
The fleet comprises five vessels: M/V Aurora, M/V Tycho Brahe, M/V Hamlet, M/V Mercandia IV and M/V Mercandia VIII. The sister ships Tycho Brahe, Aurora af Helsingborg and Hamlet each have capacity for 240 cars and 1,250 passengers. In 2018 the ferries Tycho Brahe and Aurora af Helsingborg were converted to battery power and are fully emission-free in battery mode - cutting CO2 emissions by up to 65%.
In both cities the ferry terminals are directly linked to the main railway stations. From Helsingør, 4-7 trains an hour run to Copenhagen Central Station (38-55 minutes). In Helsingborg, the terminal is connected to a metro station.
