Polferries

Polferries has been Poland's largest ferry operator since 1976 and runs Baltic Sea routes between Poland and Sweden.

Polferries

Polferries was founded in 1976 as a state shipping company and is now Poland's largest ferry operator. The company runs terminals in Świnoujście and Gdańsk and connects Poland with Sweden across the Baltic Sea.

Polferries operates two main routes: the Świnoujście-Ystad service runs daily, with two to three ferries a day at various times, including overnight crossings. The crossing takes around 7 hours and offers a convenient connection to Copenhagen, which lies just 92 km west of Ystad. The Gdańsk-Nynäshamn route (around 60 km south of Stockholm) runs Monday to Saturday, with Sunday departures only during the summer season. The ferry to Sweden from Gdańsk departs once daily at 18:00.

The terminals are located in Gdańsk (Mjr. Sucharskiego 70), Świnoujście (Dworcowa 1), Ystad (Bornholmsgatan 8D) and Nynäshamn (Färjeterminalen). A combined ticket from Świnoujście to Copenhagen via Ystad includes crossing the Øresund Bridge.

Fares start from 100 PLN for day trips from Świnoujście. For up to 4 people with a car and cabin, deals start from 203 PLN. Eurail and Interrail pass holders receive a 20% discount on adult and student fares.
