Porto Santo Line is a shipping line that has connected the islands of Madeira and Porto Santo since 1995, offering travellers a convenient and comfortable way to explore the Portuguese archipelago. The company belongs to Grupo Sousa.

The 71 km crossing takes around 2 hours 20-30 minutes and is operated by the ferry Lobo Marinho, which entered service in 2003. The 112-metre ship has capacity for 1,150 passengers and 145 cars and, with its facilities, feels more like a small cruise ship. On her maiden voyage to Funchal in June 2003, the Lobo Marinho was accompanied by numerous boats and jet skis.

On board there are bars, a restaurant, a games room, a cinema, a children's play area, a tobacconist, a souvenir shop and a first-class area. The ferry usually departs Funchal daily at 8:00am and returns from Porto Santo at 6:00pm.

Fares are seasonal: a return ticket (passenger only) costs around 39.36 euros (April-September) or 27.62 euros (January-March). During the annual maintenance in early 2026 (around five weeks), Porto Santo Line arranges flight connections between the islands for residents of Porto Santo.
