Raja Ferry Port Public Company Limited was founded in 1981 and describes itself as Thailand's leading ferry service provider, with over 38 years of experience and a professional team. Its head office is in Don Sak, Surat Thani.
Raja Ferry operates 44 ferry routes with around 115 daily departures and up to 690 weekly departures. Connections run between Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui, Phuket, Krabi, Ao Nang, Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta. The three main ports are Donsak, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. From Koh Samui's Raja Ferry Port in Lipa Noi there are 15 daily departures to Surat Thani.
The fleet comprises 13 ships, offering affordable ferry services for passengers and vehicles - popular with locals and tourists alike. The port has food and drink outlets, convenience stores and toilets. A shared van service (RP VAN) takes passengers to various destinations.
Tickets can be bought online, by phone or in person at the counters in Donsak, Koh Samui or Koh Phangan, as well as at Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat airports. E-tickets are accepted. As with all ferry operators in the region, there are no overnight ferries, and delays are possible - an extra hour's buffer is advisable.
