Rødne Fjord Cruise is a Norwegian family business founded in 1956, offering unforgettable trips through Norway's spectacular fjord landscape. The company runs fjord cruises year-round from Stavanger and Bergen, and in winter from Tromsø.
From Stavanger, Rødne Fjord Cruise runs trips to the breathtaking Lysefjord and Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock). Aboard the luxury electric boats, passengers can take in the majestic waterfalls and dramatic mountains in silence. Preikestolen rises 600 metres above the fjord. Departure is from Strandkaien, only around 50 metres from Stavanger's main square.
From Bergen, Rødne has run the daily Hardangerfjord Express to Rosendal since 2008. Also popular is the 3 to 3.5-hour cruise to the Osterfjord and the scenic Mostraumen, where the boats only just fit through the narrow passage. The route runs through the 27-kilometre Osterfjord to Modalen, Norway's second-smallest municipality with only around 380 residents. Departure is from the Zachariasbryggen quay at the fish market.
Tickets cost around 65 euros for a 3-hour cruise. Bergen Card holders get a 20% discount. Refreshments on board are affordable, with tea and coffee from 30 NOK.
