SeaLink NZ is a New Zealand ferry company that has carried cars, passengers and freight between Auckland and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf since 1960. The company runs the only car ferry service to Waiheke Island.
Ferries run from Half Moon Bay (east Auckland) up to 13 times a day, and from Wynyard Quarter in Auckland City to Waiheke Island and Great Barrier Island. A new route from Pine Harbour to Waiheke takes just 15 minutes. The crossing to Kennedy Point on Waiheke takes 45-60 minutes, depending on weather and vessel.
SeaLink is the only provider of drive-on/drive-off ferry services to Waiheke Island, carrying both vehicles and foot passengers. The vessels have lounges with a licensed café and bar, Sky TV, power outlets and free WiFi.
The ferry service runs daily throughout the year. Waiheke Island is known for its vineyards, restaurants and white sand beaches. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings, hire e-bikes, or swim at one of the island's stunning bays.
