Sindo Ferry Pte Ltd is the largest Singapore-based ferry operator and has connected Singapore with Indonesian islands such as Batam, Bintan, Tanjung Pinang and Tanjung Balai since 1999. The company has built a reputation for its excellent safety record and reliable service.
The ferry services run from Harbourfront Centre and Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal in Singapore to Batam Centre, Sekupang and other destinations in Indonesia. With around 36 daily and up to 251 weekly sailings across 12 routes, Sindo Ferry offers one of the most frequent services in the region. The first ferry from Harbourfront to Batam Centre departs at 8:00am, the last at 9:50pm.
The fleet comprises several modern, well-maintained ferries, each with capacity for 150 to 300 passengers. Fares start from SGD 38 for a one-way trip from Batam to Singapore, with return fares from SGD 71. Terminal and Marine Park fees apply in addition.
Passengers need a passport valid for at least 6 months and should arrive at the counter 60 minutes before departure. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure, and boarding at the gate 20 minutes before. Pets are not allowed on board.
