South Sea Cruises is Fiji's leading ferry operator, running fast ferries through the Mamanuca Islands from Port Denarau. The company offers day trips, resort transfers and island adventures to more than 10 scenic destinations across the Mamanuca and Yasawa archipelagos.
Ferries depart from Port Denarau's passenger terminal three times a day at 9:00am, 12:15pm and 3:00pm, seven days a week. Check-in is 30 minutes before departure at the South Sea Cruises counter. Destinations include Beachcomber Island, Castaway Island, Likuliku Lagoon Resort, Malolo Island, Mana Island, South Sea Island, Tokoriki Island, Treasure Island and Vomo Island Resort.
The modern fleet includes vessels such as Ocean Dreaming, Cheetah and Tiger IV & V. These modern catamarans feature air-conditioned lounges, outdoor decks with views, and a fully licensed bar serving snacks. Capacity is up to 240 passengers, with full safety equipment to international standards.
A day trip to South Sea Island takes just 30 minutes from Denarau Marina. Advance booking is strongly recommended, as ferries are often fully booked. Free bus transfers from most hotels in Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau are available (from April 2026: FJ$10 per adult, FJ$7 per child).
