Transtabarca is an established ferry operator that has connected the mainland town of Santa Pola (Alicante) with the island of Tabarca for more than 26 years. The company offers a unique travel experience aboard its underwater-view catamarans with large panoramic windows below the waterline.
The ferries run about 10 times a day and 61 times a week, with most departures at 11:00 and 12:00. The catamaran crossing to Tabarca takes about 25 minutes, while speedboats reach the island in just 15 minutes. The ticket office is located at the blue kiosks in the port of Santa Pola.
The fleet includes a 350-passenger catamaran with underwater views, ideal for families and groups. A 200-passenger catamaran offers improved accessibility with ramps, a lift and wheelchair-friendly facilities. Speedboats (taxi boats) provide a quick 15-minute crossing.
Tickets cost €10 for a return trip (same price online and at the counter). Children under 4 travel free. Luggage, cool boxes and parasols are included at no extra charge. Tabarca is the only inhabited island in the Valencia region and a marine protected area with crystal-clear water for snorkelling and diving.
