Trasmapi is a 100% Balearic family business that has operated the Ibiza-Formentera route with fast ferries since the 1960s. As the market leader in passenger and vehicle transport between the islands, the company carries more than 1 million passengers a year.
The ferry connections run frequently between the port of Ibiza and Formentera, with crossings of under an hour. The service is ideal for day trips to the smallest inhabited island in the Balearics, with its turquoise beaches and relaxed atmosphere.
Trasmapi belongs to Grupo Empresas Alonso Marí (Insotel Group), a family business headquartered on Ibiza that has been active in tourism since the 1960s. The group also runs hotels, travel agencies, a marina and a bus company.
On board, WiFi (for a fee), snacks and drinks are available. Pets are welcome. Bicycles and motorcycles up to 125cc travel free of charge. Balearic residents receive special discounts when buying tickets at the counter.
