TurboJET is operated by Shun Tak-China Travel and, with more than 50 years of experience, is the market leader in high-speed passenger transport between Hong Kong and Macau. The service offers round-the-clock connections for millions of passengers each year.
The ferry connections run between Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Airport, Macau, Shenzhen and Guangzhou in the Pearl River Delta. The Hong Kong-Macau route is the busiest, covering the 70 km in about an hour. Terminals are located at the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal (Sheung Wan), China Ferry Terminal, Macau Outer Harbour and Taipa, as well as at the airports.
The large fleet comprises hydrofoils and catamarans for 190 to 400 passengers, with speeds of up to 45-50 knots. The FoilCats are 35 m catamaran hydrofoils with gas-turbine waterjet propulsion, built by Kvaerner Fjellstrand (Norway). The Jetfoils are Boeing-built monohull hydrofoils.
Two classes are offered: Economy Class with standard seating (2-5-2 layout) and 20 kg free baggage, and Super Class with premium seating, daily meals, VIP lounge access and 30 kg free baggage. Passengers should check in at least 30 minutes before departure.
