Aarhus ferry port lies on the east coast of Jutland in the Central Denmark Region, on the Kattegat and in the harbour of Denmark's second-largest city. For travellers it is above all the short cut to Zealand: from here you can reach Odden on Sjællands Odde, up to 20 times a day, and the crossing takes around 1.5 hours. The route is operated by Molslinjen. If you are heading for Copenhagen, it saves you the detour via Funen and the Great Belt.
Getting there and the terminal
The ferry terminal lies at Færgevej 7A, 8000 Aarhus C, that is, in the harbour area within the central postcode district. The parking spaces at the terminal are managed by Q-Park; you pay by card or through the usual parking apps.
Check-in
Molslinjen sets tight deadlines: cars, motorhomes, vehicles with trailers and motorcycles have to be checked in 10 minutes before departure, and foot passengers 10 minutes as well. Coaches need 15 minutes, articulated lorries 20. If you need help boarding or arrive in a disabled-adapted vehicle, report 30 minutes before departure.
