The ferry port of Agia Marina is on the east coast of Aegina in the Attica region. From here you can reach 5 destinations, among them Piraeus, Hydra and Spetses. Together the services add up to as many as 16 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 1.25 hours. The port is served by Hellenic Seaways and Magic Sea Ferries.
Getting there and the terminal
Aegina has three ports, and only one of them works all year round. Agia Marina is on the east coast, around 13 kilometres from Aegina Town, and is the island's largest resort: shops, tavernas and cafés are in the village right by the berth. The service to Piraeus runs here only in summer. Souvala in the north, about 8 kilometres from the main town, likewise only runs in season. The only year-round port is the one at Aegina Town, 18 nautical miles from Piraeus.
If you are travelling without a car, the bus will get you there. Aegina Town is connected to all three ports, and that is the cheapest option. The ports are not connected to each other, though: from Agia Marina to Souvala or Perdika you have to go via the main town. Otherwise it is a taxi, a water taxi or a hire car. Plan for that if your return ship does not leave from Agia Marina.
