Agios Kirikos ferry port is on the south coast of Ikaria in the northern Aegean, right by the island's main town, and is its central point of arrival. From here you can reach 21 destinations, among them Chios, Fournoi and Kalymnos. Together the services add up to as many as 42 departures a day. Crossings take between 15 minutes and 20.25 hours. The port is served by Dodekanisos Seaways and Hellenic Seaways.

Getting there and the terminal

The berth is a few metres from the centre of Agios Kirikos, with shops, accommodation and tavernas within walking distance; alongside it there is a smaller basin for fishing and excursion boats as well as a marina. The island's airport is around twelve kilometres away at Faros. Important before you book: Ikaria has a second large port at Evdilos on the north coast, and different routes call at each. The Ikaria port authority looks after Agios Kirikos, Evdilos and Fourni together. Check on your ticket which of the two ports is meant, because half the island lies between them.

Check-in

For its routes in the Aegean, Hellenic Seaways asks you to be in the boarding area at least one hour before departure, with a vehicle as well as on foot. That is the stricter of the two requirements at the port. Arrive late and you have no claim to a refund.
