Terminals
Port of Airlie, 24 The Cove Road, Airlie Beach

The ferry port of Airlie Beach is in Australia. From here you can reach Daydream Island, Hamilton Island Marina and Hamilton Island Airport. Together the routes add up to as many as 43 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 1.25 hours. The port is served by Cruise Whitsundays.

Getting there and the terminal

The boats leave from Port of Airlie, and the terminal is at 24 The Cove Road. It is five minutes' walk from the main street of Airlie Beach, so you can manage without a car. The Whitsunday Transit bus stops on site, and taxis and Uber pull up there too. The operator points out that spaces at the terminal are limited; parking is handled by Easypark and is chargeable. The terminal is staffed daily from 6:30am to 7:00pm.

Check-in

Cruise Whitsundays asks you to be at the terminal 20 minutes before departure. If you are checking baggage, it must be checked in 15 minutes before the boat leaves. Services to the island resorts run on a tight cycle, and a missed boat can easily cost you an hour.
