Alderney ferry port lies on the northernmost inhabited Channel Island, which belongs to the Bailiwick of Guernsey; the island's main town is called Saint Anne. From here you can reach Dielette in Normandy. A ferry leaves up to 2 times a day and the crossing takes around an hour. The port is served by Manche Iles Express.
Check-in
Manche Iles Express calls at Alderney only in the summer months, directly from Diélette and, via Guernsey, from Granville and Jersey as well. Only foot passengers are carried; you cannot take a vehicle on this service.
For Alderney the operator asks you to be at check-in one hour before the scheduled departure. Clearance has to be completed no later than 40 minutes before departure: after that the port authority may refuse to let you board. Keep your ID and booking confirmation ready and label your luggage with your name and destination, which the operator expressly requires. Seats are not numbered, so you find your own place on board.
