The ferry port of Aliağa is on the Turkish Aegean coast in the province of İzmir, with the berth in the Yalı Mahallesi district. From here you cross to Mytilene on Lesbos, the only destination in the timetable. Up to 2 departures a day are listed, and the crossing takes around 1.75 hours. The route is served by Turyol.
Getting there and the terminal
Aliağa lies around 50 kilometres north of İzmir. By rail you come in on the İZBAN suburban line: 15 trains a day run from Aliağa station to İzmir's Alsancak terminus. By car the D550 trunk road runs right through the town. Aliağa is first and foremost an industrial site, and the large port mainly handles oil and bulk cargo, alongside the shipbreaking yards. So have the quay for your sailing confirmed when you book.
Lesbos belongs to Greece, so the short crossing takes you over an external EU border. Keep your passport or identity card to hand, and allow time for the border check at both ends.
