The ferry port of Anamur is on the Turkish Mediterranean coast in the province of Mersin, in the İskele coastal district a few hundred metres short of the town centre. From here the ferry runs to Kyrenia (Girne) in northern Cyprus, the only destination in the timetable. Up to 2 departures a day are listed, and the crossing takes around 2 hours. The route is served by Akgünler Denizcilik.
Getting there and the terminal
Anamur is the westernmost district of Mersin province and already borders the province of Antalya; the southernmost point of Anatolia is here too. The town is served by the D400 coast road, which is winding and slow to drive in both directions. So allow more time for the journey from Antalya or Mersin than the distance suggests.
The operator publishes no dependable information about the berth itself or about check-in. Before you set off, have Akgünler Denizcilik confirm that your ship really does sail from Anamur: much of this coast's Cyprus traffic is handled through Taşucu, about two hours further east by car.
