Getting there and the terminal
The car ferry berth has the address Askvoll ferjekai, 6980 Askvoll, and lies in the village itself. No second walk is needed: express boats and car ferry use the same harbour in the centre.
From here Fjord1 runs the Askvoll - Fure - Værlandet route to the offshore islands with the MF Nordfjord. Fure is the exception: the berth is called at on request only. If you want to board there you have to notify the boat by telephone at least half an hour before departure, otherwise it sails past. That does not apply to the departures from Askvoll, where the call is fixed in the timetable.
