Getting there and the terminal
The ferry berth has the address Nørreskiftevej 19, 8305 Ballen. You can park at the harbour, and the spaces lie north of the terminal building, right beside check-in. The reverse does not apply: in Kalundborg there is no parking at the harbour, so if you want to leave the car there you have to use the paid areas at the station. For a trip to Samsø without your own vehicle, that is the point that needs planning.
Check-in
SamsøLinjen requires you to check in no later than 10 minutes before the scheduled departure, and that applies uniformly to cars, motorhomes with trailers, motorcycles, bicycles and foot passengers. Arrive later and your reservation lapses, and that goes for groups, coaches and lorries as well. Only special transports have to be there 30 minutes beforehand. Ten minutes is not much for a ferry port, but you should not rely on it: it is the operator's deadline, not a recommendation for your journey there.
