The Bastia ferry port is on Corsica in France, right in the city between Place Saint-Nicolas and the Toga harbour basin. From here you can reach 9 destinations, including Livorno, Savona and Civitavecchia. Together the connections add up to as many as 23 departures a day, with crossings taking between 3.25 and 19 hours. The port is served by Cors'express, Corsica Ferries, Corsica Linea and Moby Lines.
Getting there and the terminal
From the south you come via the RN 193, from Saint-Florent via the D 81, and from Cap Corse via the D 80. At the port, turn onto the grounds and follow the electronic signs to holding areas P1 to P9, which the port authority assigns you. Foot passengers check in at the North Terminal, where the shipping companies' desks are also located, and a free shuttle takes you to the ship within the port grounds. There are 70 paid parking spaces right by the terminal, with the first 30 minutes free. For longer stays, four municipal car parks are within walking distance.
Check-in
Corsica Ferries expects foot passengers at least 30 minutes before departure, and passengers with a vehicle at least an hour beforehand. The port operator itself gives two hours for vehicles, since security and shipping-company checks come before that. Stick to the stricter figure, or you'll end up in the wrong queue.
