Location
Skuteviken, Bergen, Vestland

The ferry port of Bergen lies in the centre of Norway's second largest city and is also the starting point for the fast boats into the fjords. From here you can reach 24 destinations, among them Askvoll, Balestrand and Flesland. Together the services add up to as many as 85 departures a day. Crossings take between 30 minutes and 22.5 hours. The port is served by Fjord Line, Norled and Rødne Fjord Cruise.

Getting there and the terminal

Bergen has two berths, and they are not next to each other. Fjord Line sails from the Jekteviksterminalen, Nøstegaten 30. In town you follow the signs towards Jekteviken/DK, drive onto the port site and find the parking area for cars and bicycles on the left. The nearest bus stops are Olav Kyrres gate and Møhlenpris, and the taxi rank is in front of the terminal. There is no car park of its own; the operator points to the Klostergarasjen and City Park car parks in the centre. The fast boats to Rosendal and into the Sognefjord and Nordfjord, by contrast, leave from the Strandkaiterminalen.

Check-in

With Fjord Line you can check in up to 60 minutes before departure between Norway and Denmark, and likewise on domestic sailings without a pre-booked ticket. With a domestic ticket between Bergen and Stavanger, up to 30 minutes before departure is enough.
