Getting there and the terminal
Burano has several stops, and which one applies to you depends on the line. ACTV line 12 runs from Venice Fondamente Nove via Murano Faro and Mazzorbo and takes around 40 minutes; it arrives at stop "C" and leaves again from stop "B" towards Treporti. Line 9 to Torcello starts at stop "A": every 15 minutes, five minutes' journey time, between 9.30 and 17.55. Line 12 serves Torcello only at passengers' request, and you have to phone at least 20 minutes ahead to board there.
By car you can get as far as Punta Sabbioni. The municipal terminal car park there is chargeable and run by CT Servizi. From there, line 14 connects Punta Sabbioni with stop "B" in 25 minutes and carries on from Burano via the Lido to San Marco / S. Zaccaria.
Check-in
There are no check-in desks at the stops. AVM requires tickets to be validated, and you do it at the machine on board immediately after boarding; you have to validate again at every change.
