Cagliari ferry port lies in the middle of the Sardinian capital, in the Lapola/Marina quarter behind the waterfront of the Via Roma. It is the island's southern gateway: from here you can reach Civitavecchia and Naples in 15 hours each, and Palermo on Sicily in 12 hours. Together the services run up to 6 departures a day. The port is served by Grimaldi Lines.

Getting there and the terminal

The passenger terminal is in the Via Roma area, around 400 metres in front of the security zone. The railway and bus stations at Piazza Matteotti are 190 metres away, a good three minutes on foot, with trains to Oristano, Sassari and Porto Torres and the CTM city buses. By car the E25 expressway brings you in: it is 96 kilometres to Oristano, 235 to Porto Torres and 263 to Olbia. A shuttle bus runs from the terminal to the ships, linking every arriving and departing vessel with the port entrance.

Check-in

Grimaldi Lines asks you to be at the port two hours before departure. Fast check-in saves you the desk: you show your ticket to the staff directly in the boarding area. The operator's office is at Via Maddalena 3.
