Ferries to Caticlan Jetty Port

Caticlan Jetty Port lies at the north-western tip of Panay in the Philippines. From here you can reach Batangas on Luzon, Odiongan on Tablas and Roxas City on Panay. Together the services run up to 6 departures a day, and crossings take between 3 and 11 hours. The port is served by 2GO Travel.

Getting there and the terminal

The port carries the name of the locality of Caticlan but belongs to the municipality of Malay in the province of Aklan; 2GO Travel lists it exactly that way, as Caticlan Jetty Port, Malay, Aklan. Its role follows from its position: the operator describes it as the access point for Boracay, which lies opposite on the other side of the narrow strait. If you arrive on the night ferry from Batangas, this is where you change to the short crossing to the island. In the other direction, the Jetty Port is where the long services into the Visayas and to Luzon begin for travellers leaving Boracay.

Check-in

2GO Travel does not state a rule of its own for Caticlan. For the opposite direction, the crossing from Batangas to Caticlan, the operator does require you to be at the port at least four hours before departure. That works as a yardstick for departures from Caticlan too, because the long-distance services are overnight sailings with full baggage handling.
