Cetara ferry port is on the Amalfi Coast in the province of Salerno in Campania, in the last fishing village on the coast before Vietri sul Mare. It is not a long-distance port but part of the coastal shuttle traffic that takes the pressure off the narrow coast road in summer. You reach Salerno and Maiori in 15 minutes, Minori in half an hour, Amalfi in 45 minutes and Positano in 1.5 hours; Vietri sul Mare is so close that the journey time hardly counts. Capri is two hours away, with up to four boats a day.
The neighbouring towns have the densest service: there are up to 20 departures a day to Amalfi, 17 each to Positano and Salerno, 16 to Minori and 15 to Maiori. Together the seven destinations add up to as many as 102 departures a day. The service is seasonal, with the boats running broadly from spring into autumn. The port is served by Alicost, Grassi Junior, Sant'Andrea and Travelmar.
