- Resort-Anleger ohne Steg, Yasawa-Gruppe; Gegenstück Port Denarau Terminal
Coconut Beach Resort is not a town harbour but a landing in the Yasawa group in the west of Fiji, around 40 nautical miles from the mainland near Nadi. The only listed service runs to Denarau: up to 2 departures a day, with a journey time of around 4.25 hours. It is operated by South Sea Cruises.
Getting there and the terminal
Behind the service is the Yasawa Flyer, a fast catamaran that leaves Port Denarau every morning at 8.45am and is at Coconut Beach at about 1.30pm. In the other direction it sets off there at about 1.30pm and is back in Denarau at about 6pm. To connect with your flight, South Sea Cruises offers bus transfers from Nadi airport: a shared bus at 6.45am calling at hotels, and a direct bus at 7.15am with no intermediate stops. The return from Port Denarau starts at about 6.15pm. Transfers from hotels in Nadi, Wailoaloa and Denarau can also be booked in advance, at least 24 hours ahead.
One point matters for your arrival: most resorts in the Yasawa group have no jetty. South Sea Cruises states expressly that the way from the catamaran to the shore is covered in small tenders and that you may get your feet wet. Pack your luggage and choose your footwear accordingly.
Check-in
All passengers on a resort transfer have to be checked in at the South Sea Cruises desk in the terminal of Port Denarau 30 minutes before departure.
