The ferry port of Copenhagen lies in the Danish capital region, in the harbour area north-east of the city centre. From here you reach Oslo: the timetable lists up to 2 departures a day and the crossing takes around 17.5 hours. The route is operated by DFDS; the ships now sail under the Go Nordic Cruiseline brand.
Getting there and the terminal
The terminal address is Dampfærgevej 30, in the Søndre Frihavn part of the harbour. Metro line M4 or the S-train take you to Nordhavn station, from where it is a 10 to 15 minute walk. There are only a few parking spaces at the terminal itself, and they have to be reserved in advance by phone. A larger car park lies around 300 metres away at Amerika Plads.
Check-in
Check-in closes 15 minutes before departure. For the afternoon sailing at 4:30 pm that means you have to be through by 4:15 pm. The operator opens mobile check-in the evening before at 6:30 pm via an SMS link, which saves you the desk. Boarding is staggered: premium cabins from 1:30 pm, standard cabins from 3:15 pm. Vehicles drive on board from 2:45 pm, and no later than 15 minutes before departure.
