Diafani ferry port is on the north-east coast of Karpathos in the Dodecanese and is, after Pigadia, the island's second port. It hangs on a single line, but one that reaches a long way: to Karpathos town in 45 minutes, to Kasos in 2.75 hours, to Chalki in 1.75 hours and to Rhodes in 3.75 hours, and in the other direction via Crete to Sitia and Heraklion as well as via Anafi and Thira to Piraeus, for which you should allow just under 16 hours. Together the services add up to as many as 18 departures a day. The port is served by Blue Star Ferries.

In Diafani, Blue Star Ferries is represented by Possi Travel Holidays, the same agency that runs the office in the main town, Pigadia. In its conditions of carriage for the Greek domestic lines the operator requires you to be in the boarding area at least one hour before departure, with a vehicle or without. That is generous at a berth of this size, but it stands: the ferry calls briefly and does not wait. The port is served by Blue Star Ferries.
